Lib Dems Working To secure Banking Hub

Lib Dem councillor Tim Hallam is leading the work in Broxtowe to secure a banking hub in Stapleford. Over the last few years the town has lost one bank after another, and the council's Economic Development team, which Tim leads, have been working to get a banking hub developed in the town. The Link network has now identified Stapleford as a priority need for the establishment of a hub. Tim said:
"A town without a bank will always struggle. Not everyone is happy using cards or phones to pay, and there are times when all of us need access to cash. We dont have a signed agreement yet but we are well on the way now to the establishment of a banking hub."
